Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor

Supporting adults to understand how relationships and life experiences can affect emotional wellbeing.

Julie offers a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space for adults experiencing emotional distress, difficult relationships or challenging life circumstances. She helps clients explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences, develop greater self-awareness and find ways of moving forward that feel manageable and meaningful.

How Julie works

Julie works in a humanistic, integrative and relational way, tailoring therapy to the needs of each client. Her practice is also trauma-informed, helping her understand how past experiences may continue to influence emotions, relationships and responses in the present.

She works collaboratively and at the client’s pace, offering space to reflect, make sense of patterns and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

Professional background

Julie holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist and has completed more than 3,000 client hours.

Julie qualified as a Level 6 supervisor in 2025 and provides reflective and supportive supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists. Before training as a therapist, she had an extensive NHS career spanning radiography, senior leadership and management. She has also held trustee and voluntary roles supporting older people, reducing loneliness and providing emotional support within hospital settings.
