Madeleine has extensive experience of working with adults, children and young people, age 5 and over. Madeleine is also a Relate trained relationship therapist and works with couples and families. She is an integrative counsellor using psychodynamic and systemic theories while bringing creative tools and artwork into play for children and young people.  

Madeleine has a special interest in the challenge of life stages such as the transition to parenthood, recovering from an affair, separation and divorce, empty nest, illness, and career/financial upheaval. She is skilled at helping partners explore whether their relationship is truly over, or if a couple is simply going through a bad patch, looking to revive the ‘spark’ and renew intimacy.

Madeleine spends out of work hours with her family, their horses and dogs. She walks, runs and swims in Nidderale, belongs to two book clubs, loves film, food and meeting friends.
