What happens once you’ve contacted us?
When you contact us, we will explain about the referral process and once the assessment is completed, we will refer you directly to the selected therapist. You may choose the therapist yourself or if you are unsure, we will be happy to refer you to the therapist we feel would be best suited to your needs and preferences. You may also choose to have a free brief telephone or online consultation in advance of the assessment if you wish.
The sessions
We offer both daytime and evening sessions, and also Saturdays. Sessions usually last for 50 mins.
The first session is an Assessment, during which we will agree and plan a way forward with you. We will usually arrange ongoing weekly sessions, with a review after 6 weeks, however we recognise that this isn’t always possible or practical, and will do our best to accommodate your needs.
There is no set number of sessions – the therapy will continue for as long as you and your therapist agree it is helpful. Some clients feel they only need brief therapy, whilst others may have a preference for longer term.
