How Nigel works

Nigel’s person-centred foundation means that he sees each client as the expert in their own life. His relational and integrative approach enables him to adapt therapy to the individual, offering both space for reflection and gentle challenge when thoughts or behaviours may be preventing change.

Where appropriate, Nigel may draw on emotionally focused and compassion-focused work, Transactional Analysis, CBT-informed strategies, mindfulness and practical emotional-regulation techniques. His aim is to help clients develop greater awareness, understand their responses and find a way forward that feels right for them.

A personal note from Nigel

I have always felt strongly about challenging the stigma surrounding mental health. Difficult periods can affect anyone, and I believe counselling can help people feel less alone, make sense of their experiences and begin to move forward.
