Couples Counselling

Our Counselling Services for Couples

Learn how to communicate, understand each other, and resolve conflicts in a healthy manner with our counselling for couples. Here’s how we can help.

Our couples counselling is for those who want to make a difference in their relationship and within themselves. It’s not about blame, although it can cover past hurts; it’s about helping you to reconnect, to listen to each other differently and to reflect on the way you interact with each other. It’s for all couples of all ages and at all stages of their relationship, not just for those in crisis.

Couples or relationship counselling can help address a wide range of issues including a lack of intimacy and communication breakdown to trust, jealousy, loss and infidelity. Our counsellors provide a safe and supportive space to explore your difficulties, look at things in a different way and help you find a way through.

Choose to work together and iron out relationship or family problems guided by our Relate trained therapists; helping you to communicate better, build stronger relationships and support each other. We will work towards your individual goals and support you both. We offer non-judgemental, confidential and specialist counselling and techniques to enable you to find a more fulfilling way forward.

Close relationships will navigate many pressures and ups and downs. From the impact of jobs, children and family to finances, communications and even retirement. It’s not surprising to find this difficult and that it’s so critical to our emotional wellbeing.

My therapist saved my marriage. She always understood what I was trying to express and helped my spouse to understand me. She helped my husband see things in new or different ways. We never felt judgement from her. We are so grateful we found her. She truly is meant for this line of work

Many couples who come to us find it a useful experience. You need to come prepared to be open minded, to listen and to want to improve the situation you are in. We can’t ‘fix’ a problem that both couples are not prepared to work hard to address. Both people need to be committed to working in their relationship for the long run.

It’s particularly important that you find a therapist that is right for both of you and we’ll work hard to ensure this happens. Part of a therapy’s success lies in connecting with your therapist. That is, finding a person that you both feel safe and comfortable with, and that you are both heard and supported.

The aim of our couples therapy is to help you both create a happy, healthy and secure relationship, if that’s what both want. For some couples, the safest and healthiest option may be for them to separate. And couples counselling can help with that.

Contact us and we’ll put you in touch with one of our therapists, to arrange your first session. We’ll match you to the person who best meets your needs and preferences. Alternatively you can have a free, brief chat with a therapist before booking.
