What’s next ?

What happens once you’ve contacted us?

When you contact us, our referrals team will help you understand the next step and can arrange a brief telephone conversation if you would like to talk things through first.

For most new clients, the first step is a 50-minute telephone assessment. This gives us time to understand what you are looking for support with, any preferences you may have and what might be most helpful. The assessment is £80 for individuals. For couples, the assessment is £90 and usually involves a separate short call with each partner.

For a young person, we will usually begin by speaking with a parent or carer.

Following the assessment, we will recommend a suitable practitioner based on your needs, their experience and availability. We will then send you information about the practitioner and their session fee so you can decide whether you would like to go ahead.

The sessions

We offer both daytime and evening sessions, and also Saturdays. Sessions usually last for 50 mins.

The first session is an Assessment, during which we will agree and plan a way forward with you. We will usually arrange ongoing weekly sessions, with a review after 6 weeks, however we recognise that this isn’t always possible or practical, and will do our best to accommodate your needs.

There is no set number of sessions – the therapy will continue for as long as you and your therapist agree it is helpful. Some clients feel they only need brief therapy, whilst others may have a preference for longer term.
