experiencing phenomena

i find that fear - some of which is inevitable, and of course very powerful, can become such an everyday part of our experience that it's like breathing - something you do without being conscious or aware. ultimately this can lead to suffering - blaming compensating, controlling, manipulatig and avoiding ...

... as part of experiencing phenomena with clients, i have started to discover that mindfulness practices are great neutralizers of fear based, or negative, unconscious,  self-limiting states...

... so i'm going to suggest a path here, from the mindless to the mindful, and some ways to introduce a state of awareness which helps people to recognise and deal with fear and anything else that interferes with positive living...

... more bloggin' on this later.... for now, here's a few easy steps to get free and receptive with the mind and body

  1. sit comfortably, drop your shoulders, get in a restful and open state
  2. loosen your jaw, and allow any tensions to fade away
  3. soften your gaze by just seeing what is in your visual field without looking at anything else. this is a great way to get present in the moment, still the mind, get in tune with yourself
  4. take some nice easy breaths, and rest in space for a few minutes
